charmychelle: Hello again, dear Mari! It’s now raining quite heavily outside and we have a yellow warning for rain and snow, so the weather is turning a bit crazy again! But at least I’m safe inside and able to respond to comments here. 😊 I’ve also been looking at your light trails images in your gallery and I’ve always been impressed by them. 😉 For this one, I was just setting myself up for a shot when I could see the bus approaching the island. I had to be quick as this would be my only chance to get a high trail as not many double deckers or trucks pass through this area. I had one chance to get it right and fortunately I did! I’m absolutely thrilled that you like it! 😃 I’m glad you’ve had a great celebration with your family and that Sandra was happy with her gifts, I wouldn’t mind having a Star Master for myself hehe 🤩 I’ll tell you more about my Christmas later in the next photo, for now have a great evening, mi pana, abrazos 🤗💖🤗

charmychelle: Thanks Al, I do too but I think that there are fewer around than there used to be outside of London. One reason for this is that we’ve got quite a few low bridges and I guess the bus companies didn’t want to keep limiting their route...but I don’t think that they will ever go away. 😊 Not many pass through this area so I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time, and get it right on my first attempt! 😃 Hope you’re having a wonderful Christmas Day! ✨⭐️✨

charmychelle: Haha well it helped that there was a green light so it didn’t have to stop. But I guess that it was slowing down towards the left, judging by those intriguing shapes in the trails... Then I saw the bus approaching the island while I was still setting it up so I had to be real quick! I was really after a high trail and I knew that this was best opportunity, perhaps for the entire evening. But I really didn’t fancy staying out for long then as it was quite cold! But looking back, that double decker did have a lot of lights, if you also included the destination. I had to finish my camera setup very quickly as I had already seen it approach the island. I just clicked the shutter and hoped...and I got an even better result than I could ever have wished for, not bad for the first attempt! 😄 Hope you had a great Christmas! ✨⭐️✨

charmychelle: Thank you, you know, it wasn’t so long ago when I was thinking the same thing when I saw other shots of light trails...😊 It takes a lot of patience, more than anything. You think of the best places where traffic is moving smoothly and also the background, if possible. You can just use trial and error with the settings, a 4 second shutter is a good place to start, and keep adjusting the aperture...that’s just my method but every one has their own method to suit them. 😊 Good luck! 👍
