One from the vaults. Whitby Quay with Whitby Abbey in the background. Use zoom to see these stunning ruins. At least the skies are blue, getting a lot of grey skies recently.

charmychelle: An absolutely stunning shot and yes, those ruins really are impressive! xxx ๐Ÿ˜ฏ๐Ÿ‘

hogman72664 or david: Thank you so much and if you ever get the chance to take Shocky there you should. This was where Bram Stoker set most of his dramatic scenes, along Whitby cliff tops and the cemetery. Whitby has unwittingly although to their advantage become the Goth capital, and trade abounds with Dracula links. We hope to return there for a proper look around the area in the future. :):)xx

hogman72664 or david: Damn, tautology in action. Really didn't need "in the future" as I haven't perfected time travel. ;o)xx

hogman72664 or david: Thank you Daniel. This place is a photographers paradise, unfortunately I was only there for a few hours. Fortunately I can revisit it another day. :-)

hogman72664 or david: It is a fabulous place and those ruins overlook the sea as they are at the top of the cliff. This is one of the locations used in the story about Dracula. There is also a beautiful cemetery by the ruins, but when we were there I didn't see a single vampire. ;-) Thank you Maria , have a great day ๐Ÿ˜Š
