A powerful thunderstorm in the downtown area of Helsinki ⚡ Naah, had a boring day, couldn´t resist the little play with the app, though this shot was taken with my first compact camera Canon PowerShot IS A590 about eight years ago. I lived close to this spot at the time, in the area called The Lines that is part of the district of Kallio, such a bohemian area and they consume the most red wine in the city hehe 🍷 I used to came to watch the lightning to this spot trying to shoot them at the same, never succeeded 😒 Wish I had taken this shot for real! I usually don´t use the effects in my pics but now I´m making an exception...for a boring day 😎

	_marisol: Thank you so much kyle! I like this view, it´s actually not the city center area but the (expensive) neighborhood in its vicinity, a bit like Upper East Side in NYC. I used to came to walk along the sea canal (that water really is the sea) when I lived around 500-600 meters away from this spot. 	_marisol: As for my pictures, I wouldn´t lie if I´d used the effects or other tricks. I´ve posted a few double exposure picture and have always explained what I´ve done to the picture. I dislike photoshopping, I mean the kind of you put some animals to hang on the trees or change all the clouds or buildings etc...it´s the manipulation of the image as well as the viewer. I want to keep my stuff natural but sometimes it´s good to have a little fun 😛 Yes, the result looks amazingly real deal. 	_marisol: Not sure if you read my capture but, unfortunately, timing has nothing to do with this shot...as much as I´d like it! I don´t tend to use the effects but in this case I made an exception. But if my lightning shot taken in Maracaibo in October 2015 is still in my photos, check it out, timing was more than perfect in this shot, but I think FR has removed the picture as it was posted over 2 years ago. 	_marisol: Yes, sometimes they do. I´ve played with them just for fun, and perhaps to learn something, though phone apps today, you just tap what you want and that´s pretty much it. They´re made so easy to use that learning from then is questionable. But must admit, this looks amazingly real in this picture. So great to have you back! Hope you´re doing well. Marisol, you may have noticed that Fhotoroom has had some issues recently and some problems were really annoying (like the bots liking tons of photos) so more and more users of this awesome community are having an account on Instagram. I was told you don't like it much but it can be just an option not to lose connection. There are lots of us there already. 	_marisol: Quite frankly, I haven´t noticed any major issues in recent times, maybe FR have finally taken our complaints seriously. We should note that running FR, like apps and website, it´s not free and they need to get revenue to keep the wheels running. I´m quite sure FR is not rich, rather vice versa, I bet they have lack of money. Perhaps this is why they can´t fix everything right away. When it comes to Insta, for me it´s about do I have time to manage 2 different account. Fr takes me so much time that I can´t always response all the comments I received, and it su.cks! Y si, dovrei passare attraverso le foto che hai inviato, ma ho abbia avuto problemi con mi laptop, come ti ho detto. 	_marisol: This was my compact camera era and took most my pics using an autopilot as I call camera auto shooting function. I´ve taken approx 10 shots using this function with my Sony, and just because I showed my husband how it works if he wants to take pics of Sandra. He´s too lazy to learn how to use the manual settings 🙄 This spot is about 1.5 miles away from the city center but it´s kind of part of the center anyway. I loved to live in the area. Helsinki is indeed a beautiful city, the sea is everywhere and we have a truly gorgeous historic center and several manor and villa districts. Your embassy is located in a park-like manor district, almost opposite the UK´s embassy. 	_marisol: The current president can face the tough challenge from our candidate but most important is the message to the elite. That most of the people want a change. Yeah, that prick, Soros...funding this funding that, bloody old mummy :D Now my blood pressure is raising haha...one of our ex prime minister is an EU´s commissioner. We are not allowed to vote for these commissioners! This quisling got this post by giving a few billion tax payer´s money to Greece, and Soros was in the background at that time. German & English banks got the money and the people of Greece got just nickles and dimes. 	jerry0522: Hah yeah email is probably best for those type of discussions :D Now take a deep breath or two haha Nice lens with a great price!!! That is what I like about a prime lens is you get awesome glass at a low price!!! 24mm is 36mm equivalent on our Sony camera's so a little on the long end but still useful for landscape and a great general purpose range.
