Haven´t edited any KGB image yet, guess I´ve been lazy...oh wait, me lazy? Nah, been working from 3 pm to 11 pm, not much time for editing. Had a morning shift today so I´m getting started with editing, slightly though. This is from Spain (again), I wanna show this part of the beach promenade because I loved to walk thru it every morning & night and hear how the ocean´s waves hit the wall of the promenade (was a high tide at night so it was better to be careful not to get wet, esp if it was windy). Look how calm it is...no one ever bothered me during my strolls whether it was day or night. Sad but can´t say the same of many other European cities, including my own 😕 Some users accounts don´t send me any emails, so if I wrote a comment on your picture and you replied, perhaps asked me a question and I never replied, here´s the reason; I don´t know why but some accounts don´t send me any replies. Just telling this because I don´t want someone to think I´m ignoring. Alright, The Simpsons are on tv = ay caramba! Gotta go watch!!! Oh, check the mountain on the right, some guy has a great spot for the house. I bet the dude has a quite long driveway 😁 We´ll see before Christmas so I wish you a wonderful day/evening etc...much love & peace 💗💗

stefpics2: Careful with KGB images. You never know who's watching 😁

_marisol: Yup, as they say the hills have eyes (and walls too!). Btw, I have about 15-20 pics taken in the KGB office. There´s no point to upload all of them. If anyone wants these pictures, I can give them to anyone who wants see their gadgets, uniforms, mics and stuff like that. Anyone just let me know and you get the original file either in raw format or in jpg format. Cheers Stef. I´ll try to catch you before Christmas so I wish you a nice weekend 🎅

gary22: So wish you would not walk alone mari.❤

Posted: 2018 Dec 20 9:32:03 PM

_marisol: Sure I do walk alone, I´m an adult and have the right to do so. I know what you mean and appreciate your concern, but I walk alone every single day. When it comes to Las Palmas I saw more cops than other people at night. Never felt as safe. And hey, I´m from Venezuela, been walking alone there too, It´s a million times more dangerous than in Palmas and here I am, alive. Though I was robbed by gunpoint 5 years ago in Ven...and still standing haha 😎 Don´t worry, I can take care of my self. The streets of Maracaibo have taught me pretty well. Cheers & Good night 🌛 Hope to see you before Christmas...nightey night! 🌸😃

el murko: Definitely worth the zoom, so much to see 👀 Love the lights and perspective 😍

Posted: 2018 Dec 21 1:42:34 AM

_marisol: I like it when often zoom in. My learning process to get the details to stand out took a lot of time and still learning. I may use time editing for several hours, but I do everything like in a long run, I just can´t edit one picture within an hour. I loved this city so much! The way they speak Spanish is awesome! Their slang is so unique, kinda reminds my own which was so much fun. Very easy going people, got some friends only in a week!

_marisol: *like it when you often...

_marisol: And the city is so safe. They know well what happens if they would let anybody in, their economy would be destroyed. Now that we have all the isis guys walking along the streets of Euro cities, I´d rather stay out of central Europe and travel to the islands like The Gran Canary. Sitting on the beach at 1 am, no problemo. Walking around the city at 2 am, check! Should be everywhere like this but our stupid politicians, as well as the EU oligarchs, have a different opinion. I kinda envy you, you´ve got a nice & beautiful haven far from EU. Sorry my ranting but I have to face these problems pretty much every day. But thanks a lot! Keep zooming 😃 I´ll try to keep the details together 😄😄 Cheers & Have a lazy Saturday! 🎅🌸🌴🌴

el murko: Hey hey. Your attention to detail and your dedication in editing certainly pays off! Where is this in Spain?

I totally understand what you're saying about safety, and I'm no fan of the EU, rant away (I voted leave!). I used to live in Central London, right near Oxford Street. Was amazing place to live. I used to walk through the city and almost always felt safe, but I'm a big guy lol. I could feel a change coming through, back then in the early 2000s, and less than 6 months after moving to the Bahamas the carriage of the tube train I used to get to work was bombed. Lucky escape!

Now I don't lock my door, or car. There is a little pretty crime here, but really not much. The island is named after the Greek for Freedom, and it's very laid back. Everyone knows everyone, which helps, and gossip, or sip sip as they call it, is a major currency.

Sounds like you had a fantastic time there! I'd love to do some traveling when this house is finished.

Wish I could have a lazy Saturday, but have a table to work on 🤪🙄 I do need to get some groceries before Christmas, so maybe I'll take the afternoon off. Cyas, have a sweet weekend 🎄🤶🎅👌🌺

el murko: *petty crime. Stupid autocorrect 😣

foxy: I always wonder how you get so much detail in your images.....it doesn't matter if it is in front or in the back. Maybe some magic 😁

Posted: 2018 Dec 21 7:47:00 AM

_marisol: Oh thanks! That was like music in my ears 🎵🎵 I once viewed my pictures on my 50" flat screen tv and noticed they looked crap. I decided to do something about it. Basically 2 things; equipment & software. A camera with 25 (or more) MPX sensor. Quality lenses, I use mainly Sigma´s modern lenses, such a great value for your money. I paid 400€ of my 30 mm Sigma but it beats many of the more expensive brands. As for the editing, I have much software but mainly I use Lightroom, Photomatix & Topaz (Details, Clarify).

Posted: 2018 Dec 21 8:46:53 PM
_marisol: One way to get the details to stand out is to load a file(s) to Photomatix, do your edit but keep things natural, no overedit. Then move the photo to the Lightroom for finishing. LR has a lot of great basic features, f.eg, a radial filter, and a gradual filter are pure magic if you know what you´re doing. I used the radial filter 7 times in this pic, f.eg the bar on the right and the hills farther away. With these filters you can kind of re-edit the picture, to highlight, clarify and fix the details. Also adjust the exposure. Very useful tools! And the sharpness must be done smartly, the k-word, use enough mask. Didn´t figure out all this over the night, learning process took a few years and still counting. Thanks again, was really nice to see your comment! 😃🌺💗💗

buzohippo: Have never seen ocean 🙄 is definitely on my list 😁 Beautiful capture! But hey, girl, I am waiting for KGB photos 😁 as you intrigued me and I guess many others 🙂

_marisol: Hi Maria! I truly hope you´ll see the ocean one day, preferably sooner than later 🌊 The ocean is totally different from a small Mediterranean sea. So dynamic! You can feel it in your guts. It can be the most beautiful thing in the world or really nasty if it gets angry. I remember how one big wave struck me in the back in the Indian Ocean. The storm had just begun and I was coming out of the water, and the next thing I knew I was on the seabed, no oxygen in the lungs and it hurt soooo much! 😣 Luckily I managed to get the heck out of there, but it was close...

_marisol: KGB pics! Yes! You & and your country were in my thoughts when I walked up the stairs to the museum. So much dirty stuff has been done. We should learn from history but instead we´re repeating it all over again 😕 I think I´ll upload one today. If you want any original files for yourself, just let me know. Thank you! Spend a great weekend and hugs to the lil Miss 💗💗🌺

_marisol: Oh, there´s one particular photo with the Russian language, it has short texts like "ABT", which is "AVT", means "auto" (automatic) I guess. I know the Cyrillic alphabet but can´t speak Russian so I´d appreciate a lot if you translate the texts that can be seen on that device. There are only 2 or 3 short words to translate.

_marisol: ...but I´ll upload a different photo tonight, later this one. Cheers! 😃

_alessandro_: Bellissimo capolavoro come sempre!!! A presto Marisol!🎄😘🎅💋

_marisol: Buona notte! Buona notte! 🌛 Apresto!! 💜
